There are many places to enjoy brunch in Philadelphia. It continues to be a popular meal for diners of all ages. Traditional brunch buffets are usually reserved for special occasions such as Easter or Mother’s Day. Most restaurants these days keep it more casual, offering à la carte options with unique spins on the classic egg, pancake, and waffle dishes.
One restaurant doing an interpretation of traditional-meets-modern brunch is the Moshulu at Penn’s Landing. The 42-year-old landmark restaurant had previously been offering a classic brunch buffet for many years, but recently switched to an alluring brunch menu complete with gourmet dishes and classic brunch cocktails.
The brunch experience on the Moshulu is still as elegant as ever, though. Food writer Marilyn Johnson visited recently to explore the new deluxe menu and shared her insights on Philly Grub.
