Press Release: 6 GENERATIONS HAVE READ THE STORY… THIS ONE WILL SING IT!
Eagle Theatre opens Louisa May Alcott’s classic universal coming of age story, Little Women: The Musical on January 24th, 2018.
Eagle Theatre Co-Artistic Director, Ted Wioncek III states, “Little Women: The Musical will be our finest production to date. The Civil War story that swept the nation is brought to life in this new musical phenomenon. Brimming with adventure and imagination, heartache and hope, this epic production is full of joyful melodies, unforgettable characters, and uplifting spirit.”
On May 13th PBS will debut their 3-part adaptation of Alcott’s classic. Dozens of live theatrical performances and feature films have tried their hand at the 1869 semi-autobiographical novel, including Colombia Pictures’ 1994 family drama, staring Winona Ryder, Susan Sarandon, Christian Bale, Claire Danes, and Kirsten Dunst. However, Eagle Theatre believes their production truly embodies the spirit and grace of Alcott’s literary masterpiece like none other before.
Wioncek concludes, “Little Women: The Musical embodies the complete theatrical experience. It is guaranteed to capture your heart and destined to astonish the world.”
