Press Release: Dirty Rotten Scoundrels at The Candlelight
Two con men, a beautiful woman and the elite of the French Riviera collide in this sexy and irreverent farce. Candlelight’s production is directed by Peter Reynolds and features Larry Lees and Tristan Horan as con men Lawrence Jameson and Freddy Benson, and Morgan Sicher as Christine Colgate, the beautiful woman they plan to con. Allison Boyle is Jolene Oakes, Connie Pelesh is Muriel Eubanks, and Tim Moudy is Andre Thibault. The company is rounded out by Sophie Jones, Kari Lochstoer, Faith Sacher, Amanda Schaffern, Audrey Simmons, Alexandra Urusow, Chris Fitting, Nate Golden, Achilles Inverso, A.J. Jackson, Salvatore Mirando, and Michael Vandie. Colleen Kreisel is Choreographer, Gina Gianchero is Musical Director, costumes are by Tara Bowers, scenic design by Jeff Reim, lighting is by Matt Cater, and wig, hair and makeup design is by Lisa Miller Challenger.
Sophisticated with a dash of mischief, this hysterical comedy with lyrics and a jazzy score by David Yazbek and a book by Jeffrey Lane was nominated for eleven Tony Awards. Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is based on the 1988 of the same name written by Dale Launer, Stanly Shapiro & Paul Henning film, starring Steve Martin and Michael Caine.
